One of the reasons people give for not having coaching
is that they feel it wouldn't work because they don't know the answers
to centrally important questions, and they know I can't tell them those
answers.
They are concerned that coaching would be a series of
sensiblke questions from me, accompanied by a series of "I don't
know!" answers from them, and understandably, that is not a happy
prospect.
But it doesn't go like that, so this is another False
Expectation Appearing Real.
In fact, most of my clients are missing several key pieces
of information. They've tried hard to find them on their own, and they've
failed, so they're coming to me for help, and I am happy to provide it.
I am good at helping people to find the answers they
don't currently have. The raw material is generally in their heads already,
though often it takes some cunning techniques to pull them into conscious
aweareness. That's Ok. It's what I do and I love my work.
So the message is - don't let your missing answers leave
you out of finding them.
