The people selling
training will tell you it's the perfect occupation and a wonderful
money-making business opportunity. But they won't tell you about
the downside.
I've been a life coach now for more than a decade,
and I've learned a huge amount - about life coaching of course,
but also about the business side of things and the lifestyle. I
love my job, but there really are downsides you should know about
before investing further time and money.
My
e-book captures a great deal of what I know and is available
for immediate download, but my online seminars are a different kind
of opportunity.
Is a Life Coaching Career for you?
From your home or office, using free software or your
phone, join me and up to 12 others for an informal, interactive and highly
informative hour or so. We'll video conference, so you'll use your computer
and internet connection to see me and my slide presentation, and any diagrams
I may draw. You'll see other delegates too, though some may prefer to
leave their camera off.
We'll talk about becoming a life coach. How I did it,
how you could do it, and what it'll be like during and after.
I have a lot of material, and can easily fill the entire
seminar myself, but these events really come alive when we interact with
each other and with me. Informal Q&A in areas of interest to you are
great.
You'll learn a lot about life coaching as a career, a
business and a lifestyle. You might make some friends and business contacts
too. You can keep up with each other on where you are, what you've tried,
what worked and what didn't.
Seminar content will vary depending on the interests
and experience of the delegates, but will generally contain the following:
Life coaching basics - what it is and how coaching
works
The self-employment opportunity
The realities of being self-employed
Business management
The realities of coaching people
The challenge of running your own business
Moving safely from where you are today, to where you want to be
Marketing & Selling - finding paying clients
Pitfalls to avoid
Seminars usually run for about an hour, will include up
to twelve delegates. Price depends on the number in the group, but will
be in the region of £12.
How Do We Connect?
There are two options, and each circle will be exclusively one or the
other:
PHONE
You call a normal-rate phone number from wherever you are - at work,
from home, or somewhere else. Mobiles are fine. You'll join a conference
call in which all callers can hear each other.
Optionally, you'll use an ordinary web browser to view a special
website where I can show you presentations.
ONLINE
You use free, easy-to-use, conferencing software
- generally Skype
or Google+
hangout (click a link to see a video) and your broadband-connected
PC at home or at work, or your tablet, iPhone or Smart phone,
to join our circles.
You'll need speakers and a microphone
- or a headset (cost about £12).
As well as voice & text chat, we have the option of web
cams and other facilities like white boarding & multi-media
items, including online videos, and power point presentations.
It's like being there.
We'll help you to set up your system if you like.
Here's a video showing
how Google+ Hangouts work. Skype is very similar. I also use another
system which you can access through an ordinary web browser.
Our seminar will be private - people won't "just
drop in".
If you prefer not to use a camera - that's OK.
To express your interest in a seminar, please
complete & send this form,
and I'll get back to you when spaces are available.
